Bench tested and approved EEC Tuner v5.2 and v5.3 circuit boards have had an occurrence of problems in operation after a period of working. Sometimes identified as heat related - high RPM operation - WOT dyno runs - use without abuse with time. The problem is the Voltage Regulator chip getting hot, and disturbing a solder mask over 2 circuits routed under the chip. ECO 2 is a fix that adds electrical isolating insulation under the VReg chip.
